Please Vote for Patrick Melody on Thursday 2nd July

25 June 2026 by

Patrick said “”I am standing in the by-election this Thursday 2nd July because I want to bring a practical, constructive, and community-focused approach to local decision-making. I believe in listening first, working collaboratively, and making sure residents feel properly represented. I am committed to:

– Working with Cllr Lynn Stocks to stand up against overdevelopment, protect the Green Belt and support residents’ concerns over the lack of infrastructure services

– Making sure roads and pavements are fit for purpose

– Ensuring we get value for money from your Council Tax.”

I’ve lived in Winnington since 2018, and before that I grew up in Middlewich. I went to St Nicholas Catholic High School and Sixth Form, then Mid Cheshire College, before studying Business Management with Finance at Manchester Metropolitan University and completing a master’s in accounting and finance.

Since the age of 16, I’ve always worked alongside my education — from retail roles to now working in technology within the banking sector. Paying my own way through university taught me resilience, responsibility, and the value of hard work.

Outside of work, I’m involved with my local rugby club, both on the pitch and by supporting fundraising and community activities. Being part of a team has shaped who I am — I enjoy working with others, pitching in, and helping where I can.

I’m standing for Weaver and Cuddington because I genuinely believe I can make a positive contribution to our community. I want to be visible, approachable, and someone residents feel comfortable speaking to.

I’ve already been out across the ward meeting many of you, listening to concerns, and acting where I can. If you see me around the community, please do come and say hello.”
