Cllr Charles Fifield who has represented the ward since 2011 has confirmed that due to personal family reasons he will not be standing for re-election in May. Cllr Paul Williams has represented the ward since 2015 had already decided not to stand again. We thank them both for their long service to the residents of the ward and wish them both well for the future.
We are pleased to confirm that our 3 candidates for Thursday 4th May 2023 will be:
Phil Rimmer, Lynn Stocks and Adam Wordsworth.
Weaver & Cuddington ward covers the communities of Acton Bridge, Crowton, Cuddington, Delamere Park, Norley, Sandiway and Weaverham. Find out how your 3 votes can make a difference.
Phil Rimmer has lived in Cheshire all of his life. Phil has served on a Parish Council before and wants to make a difference for all residents in the local area. Phil decided to stand as he was fed up with the state of our roads and the levels of Council Tax we all have to pay.
Lynn Stocks is married to Mark and has three grown up children. She has lived in Cheshire most of her adult life. Over recent years, she has spent a lot of time serving the community as an NHS volunteer responder and also as a vaccination steward in Hartford. She also donates blood regularly at Weaverham Community Centre.
Adam Wordsworth previously served for 10 years in the Police Force, and is married with 2 children. He volunteers regularly in Weaverham and has previously served on Frodsham Town Council. He previously stood for Weaver & Cuddington ward and the Weaver Vale parliamentary constituency in 2019.
