Conservative Councillors call for a dedicated meeting of Cheshire West and Chester Council to consider the Borough’s proposed new Waste Strategy.
Labour are wanting to push through their controversial Waste Strategy during a packed agenda at a remote ‘Informal Council Meeting’ on 15th July but 8 Conservative Councillors have called on the Council to hold a Formal Special Council Meeting in person on 29th July, with a single item on the Agenda – the Waste Strategy.
Weaver & Cuddington Councillors Charles Fifield and Paul Williams share the serious concerns about the proposed strategy already raised by many local residents. Cllr Fifield, said: “The proposed Waste Strategy and £40 green bin charge has caused huge concerns amongst my residents and as such I feel it deserves to be dealt with at a Special Meeting of the Council to ensure it is properly debated and considered by the Council.”
